Michael Murray (organist)
Michael Murray (born March 19, 1943 in Kokomo, Indiana) is an American-born organist and writer. Biography Murray studied at Butler University and the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, before private study with Marcel Dupré in Paris. (He was the last important student of Dupré, of whom he would later write a biography.) During the 1968–69 performance season, Murray performed the complete organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach in a series of twelve recitals in Cleveland. He later commemorated the 150th birthday of César Franck by playing that composer's complete organ works in 1972. He repeated the cycle for the hundredth anniversary of Franck's death (1990, at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City.) Murray's performances have included nearly every major city in North America, with numerous appearances as a soloist with major orchestras. Michael Patrick Murray (born 14 May 1930) is an English retired banker, cricketer and administrator. He was born in Westminster and represented Middlesex Middlesex (; abbreviation: Middx) is a historic county in southeast England. Its area is almost entirely within the wider urbanised area of London and mostly within the ceremonial county of Greater London, with small sections in neighbour ... as a right-handed batsman in 1952 and 1953. Mike Murray (ice Hockey)
Mike Murray (born August 29, 1966) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey player. Murray, a high-scoring center during his pro career, played five seasons (1989-1991,1992-95) for the Knoxville Cherokees of the East Coast Hockey League and finished up his player career with the Knoxville Speed (1999-2001) of the United Hockey League and a brief stint with the Ice Bears of the Southern Professional Hockey League in (2002-03). Prior to his career proper, he also played in one NHL game for the Philadelphia Flyers during the 1987–88 NHL season. Tim Walsh (musician)
Timothy William "TW" Walsh (born January 26, 1975 in Melrose, Massachusetts, United States) is an American songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, mixing engineer and mastering engineer. In August 2003, Walsh officially joined Pedro the Lion, led by David Bazan. He had been occasionally been playing live with the band and contributing to recordings since 2000. The two would also collaborate on Bazan's Headphones project. Walsh was, aside from Bazan, the only other official member of Pedro the Lion, and was heavily involved in the recording of Pedro the Lion's ''Achilles Heel''. Citing personal and financial reasons, Walsh left both projects in late 2005, after which Bazan retired the Pedro the Lion moniker. In 2009 Walsh mixed and mastered Bazan's ''Curse Your Branches'' album, and has worked on several Bazan releases since. Michael Murray (born March 31, 1932) is an American stage director, producer and educator. He is one of the early leaders of the Regional Theatre Movement. Murray was co-founder of the Charles Playhouse in Boston, MA. and served as its Artistic Director for eleven years (1957–1968). Murray was the Artistic Director of the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park (1975–1985). In addition, he directed productions Off-Broadway in New York and at many regional theaters, including the Hartford Stage Company, Center Stage Baltimore, the Philadelphia Drama Guild, and the Huntington Theatre Company. Michael Joseph Murray, also known as Squire Murray, was a Provisional Irish Republican Army volunteer, later named as an organiser of the Birmingham pub bombings, which killed 21 people on 21 November 1974. Personal life Murray was born in Donnycarney, County Dublin and was educated at Scoil Mhuire, Marino. He ran a pub in Kilbeggan and he joined the IRA in the early 1950s. He was a father of six. Republican activities Prior to coming to work in England, Murray had a short spell in prison in Dublin for selling Easter lilies when he was a teenager.
