Michael C Williams
Michael Charles Williams, Baron Williams of Baglan (11 June 1949 – 23 April 2017) was a British diplomat and crossbench life peer. Education Williams attended Sandfields Comprehensive School, Baglan in Port Talbot. He was later to use the village name of 'Baglan' in his title on entering the House of Lords as a Labour peer in 2010. He received bachelor's degree from University College London in 1971 and a master's degree in the Politics of Developing Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), in 1973. He subsequently earned a doctorate in Politics, also from SOAS. He then lectured in politics at the University of East Anglia from 1978 to 1980. ''The Right Honourable'' ( abbreviation: ''Rt Hon.'' or variations) is an honorific style traditionally applied to certain persons and collective bodies in the United Kingdom, the former British Empire and the Commonwealth of Nations. Jack Straw
John Whitaker Straw (born 3 August 1946) is a British politician who served in the Cabinet from 1997 to 2010 under the Labour governments of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. He held two of the traditional Great Offices of State, as Home Secretary from 1997 to 2001, and Foreign Secretary from 2001 to 2006 under Blair. He was a Member of Parliament (MP) for Blackburn from 1979 to 2015. Straw was born in Essex and educated at Oaklands School, where his mother worked as a teacher, and later at Brentwood School. He studied Law at the University of Leeds before having a career as a barrister. He served as an adviser to cabinet minister Barbara Castle and was selected to succeed her as MP for the Blackburn constituency when she stood down at the 1979 United Kingdom general election. Robert H. Serry (born c. 1950 in Kolkata) is a Dutch people, Dutch diplomat who served as the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process and the UN Secretary-General’s Personal Representative to the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority from 2007 to 2015. A career diplomat, Serry has served in a variety of diplomatic positions for his country's foreign service. Álvaro de Soto (born 16 March 1943) is a Peruvian diplomat. He ended a 25-year career with the United Nations in May 2007. Early years and family He is the brother of the economist Hernando de Soto. After attending the International School of Geneva, de Soto studied law and international relations in Lima and Geneva prior to enlisting in his country's diplomatic corps.
