MediaPro Music is a Romanian record label, part of the Universal Music Group. Launched in 1997, it became an integrated business of the Radio Company PRO in 2006. Between the main label and its sub-labels most music genres are covered, ranging from rock and pop, to dance, Latin, traditional folk, and children music. Moreover, the company is also involved in event planning (concerts, promotion tours, autograph sessions, press conferences) and publishing activities. In 2015, it was confirmed that American corporation Universal Music Group acquired MediaPro Music. Alexandra Ioana Stan (born 10 June 1989) is a Romanian singer. Born in Constanța, she made her worldwide breakthrough with the 2010 single " Mr. Saxobeat", which was written and produced by Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi. They had previously discovered Stan at a karaoke bar in 2009 and signed her to their label, Maan Records. Adrian Claudiu Sînă (; born 18 April 1977), better known as Adrian Sina or simply Adi Sina, is a Romanian singer-songwriter, record producer, radio DJ and entertainer. He is best known for creating, producing and singing in the dance group Akcent and also for writing and producing mainstream hit songs for himself and other international artists. He started out as a disc jockey in the 1990s and then created a group with his fellow musician Ramona Barta. He came to prominence as a member of Akcent with the song "Ultima vară" (''The Last Summer'') in 1999. His group was joined by Marius Nedelcu, Sorin Brotnei and Mihai Gruia. La Familia (rap Group)
La Familia are a Romanian hip hop group from Sălăjan, Bucharest. Founded in 1996 by Dragoș "Puya" Gărdescu and Tudor Sișu, they have been widely regarded as pioneers of the gangsta rap subgenre in their native Romania. Mentored by fellow gangsta rap group B.U.G. Mafia, they quickly emerged as one of Romania's most popular rap acts in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 2003, group member Tudor Sișu was sentenced to three years in prison after being arrested by Romanian authorities in a widely publicized drug-trafficking case. The group also lost the rights to its name after a public feud with former mentors B.U.G. Mafia, whom they had lyrically attacked in an unreleased song the previous year. Group member Puya worked mostly individually on their 2004 effort, before managing to recover the rights for the band's name following a lengthy court trial. Lala Band
Lala Band (stylized as LaLa Band) were a Romanian pop-rock band formed by MediaPro Music in Bucharest in 2011. The group was formed through a casting system held by MediaPro Music in February 2011 and 21 people were chosen to form Lala Band. Lala Band debuted, at the same time when their TV series, ''Pariu cu viața'', premiered on 12 September 2011, on Pro TV. After Pariu cu viața ended on 12 June 2013, a spin-off series was made as ''O nouă viață'', which has aired on Acasă, from 17 February to 17 April 2014.
