Marvin (film)
''Reinventing Marvin'' (french: Marvin ou la belle éducation) is a 2017 French drama film directed by Anne Fontaine. It screened in the Horizons section of the 74th Venice International Film Festival on 2 September 2017, and won the Queer Lion. The film stars Finnegan Oldfield as Marvin, a gay actor in Paris who is struggling to write and perform a one-man theatrical show about his childhood. Isabelle Huppert appears playing herself. Anne Fontaine (born Anne-Fontaine Sibertin-Blanc; 15 July 1959) is a Luxembourger film director, screenwriter, and former actress. She lives and works in France. Life and career Born Anne-Fontaine Sibertin-Blanc in Luxembourg, sister of actor Jean-Chrétien Sibertin-Blanc, she went as a young child to live in Lisbon, where her father, Antoine Sibertin-Blanc, is a music professor and cathedral organist. In adolescence she moved to Paris and trained in dance with Joseph Russillo while continuing her academic education, including philosophy. Her husband is Philippe Carcassonne, the film producer, and they have an adopted son, Tienne, who was born in Cambodia. While still dancing, she was picked by Robert Hossein to play Esmeralda in a 1980 theatrical production of ''The Hunchback of Notre Dame'' and around this time started to use the name Anne Fontaine. Vincent Macaigne
Vincent Macaigne (born 19 October 1978) is a French actor, theatre director and film director. He is also a screenwriter and playwright. Life and career Macaigne was raised in Paris, the son of a French businessman and an Iranian-born painter. He has an elder brother, who is a forensic doctor. He attended the CNSAD between 1999 and 2002, and staged his first play in 2004. Throughout the 2000s, he acted in several theatre productions and also wrote and staged a number of plays. He suffered two strokes at just thirty years old, one of which occurred after his 2009 staging of the theatrical adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's ''The Idiot''. In an interview, he said the stroke has had no lasting consequences to his health. Isabelle Huppert is a French actress who has appeared in more than 120 feature films, mostly in starring roles.
