Marko Banić
Marko Banić (born August 31, 1984) is a Croatian professional basketball player. He is tall, and he plays at the center and power forward positions. Professional career Banić has played with Zadar and Bilbao Berri. He was chosen as the EuroCup MVP in 2010. In June 2012 he signed with a three-year contract with UNICS Kazan in Russia. He was released after suffering a knee injury. In September 2013, he signed a two-year deal with the Spanish club CB Estudiantes. In September 2014, he left Estudiantes and signed a one-year deal with the German club Alba Berlin. In September 2015, he returned to UNICS Kazan, signing a 1+1 year contract. On December 13, 2017, he signed with Turkish club Pınar Karşıyaka. On November 10, 2018, he signed with Croatian champion Cedevita Zagreb. Karşıyaka Basket, mostly known as Pınar Karşıyaka for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional basketball team located in Karşıyaka, İzmir, that competes in the Turkish Basketball Super League. The 2011–12 Turkish Airlines Euroleague was the 12th season of the modern era of Euroleague and the second under the title sponsorship of Turkish Airlines. The 2007 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 2007, was the 35th FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship held by FIBA Europe, which also served as Europe qualifier for the 2008 Summer Olympics, giving a berth to the champion and runner-up teams (or to the third-placed team in case Spain should reach the final). Croatia Men's National Basketball Team
The Croatia men's national basketball team ( hr, Hrvatska košarkaška reprezentacija) represents Croatia in international basketball matches. The team is controlled by the Croatian Basketball Federation (HKS). The biggest success Croatia has achieved was at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics when the team reached the final against the United States and won the silver medal. Croatia has also won one bronze medal at the FIBA World Cup and two bronze medals at EuroBasket. The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall.
