Cliff Green
Clifford Green OAM (6 December 1934 – 4 December 2020), born in Melbourne, Australia, was an Australian screen writer, whose best-known work is the script for the film '' Picnic at Hanging Rock'' (1975). Career Green spent his early working life as a country school teacher, which was reflected in his script for the 1974 ABC TV series, ''Marion''. He was able to write in a wide variety of genres, and his screenplay for Peter Weir’s ''Picnic At Hanging Rock'' was a landmark in the renaissance of the Australian film industry in the 1970s. In 1981, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation produced ''I Can Jump Puddles'', a mini-series written by Green, based on Alan Marshall's autobiographical stories. His screenplay for the 1990 TV movie, ''Boy Soldiers'', was the first Australian drama to receive an Emmy nomination. Oscar Whitbread
Oscar Ralph Whitbread (26 November 1929 – 16 May 2016) was an English-Australian producer who worked extensively in television. He moved to Australia in the late 1940s. Whitbread started his career at the ABC in 1956, where he served as the Head of Drama, before switching to the same position with the Seven Network. He was responsible for numerous successful series including '' Bellbird'', ''The Flying Doctors'' and the miniseries ''Power Without Glory''. Whitbread was the senior executive producer at Crawford Productions and also worked in England for the BBC, Thames Television, Granada Television and London Weekend Television. During the 1970s, he worked as a lecturer in theatre media studies, at Charles Sturt University, Bathurst, New South Wales. Personal life Whitbread was married to Corinne Kerby. Helen Morse (born 24 January 1947) is an English-born Australian actress who has appeared in films, on television and on stage. She won the AFI (AACTA) Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the 1976 film '' Caddie'', and starred in the 1981 miniseries ''A Town Like Alice''.
