Mario Fehr
Mario Fehr (born 1958 in Zürich) is a Swiss politician. As member of the Social Democratic Party of Switzerland (SP), he served in the Cantonal Council of Zürich from 1991 to 2000 and the Swiss National Council from 1999 to 2011. The Cantonal Council of Zürich (german: Zürcher Kantonsrat) is the legislature of the canton of Zürich, in Switzerland. Zürich has a unicameral legislature. The National Council (german: Nationalrat; french: Conseil national; it, Consiglio nazionale; rm, Cussegl naziunal) is the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Switzerland, the upper house being the Council of States. With 200 seats, the National Council is the larger of the two houses. Adult citizens elect the council's members, who are called National Councillors, for four year terms.
