Marie Magdalena Rustad
Marie Magdalena "Lillemor" Rustad (21 December 1859 – 22 June 1943), was a Norwegian court official. She served as the ''Overhoffmesterinne'' for Queen Maud of Norway. Life Marie Magdalena Rustad was the daughter of the industrialist Halvor Schou and Anna Cecilie Crowe and sister of the industrialist Olaf Schou. She married Fritz Rustad in 1880, and became the mother of the military officer and director Carl Rustad. She was an amateur photographer and many of her photographs are preserved. Court career After Norway became an independent Kingdom in 1905, she was appointed ''Overhoffmesterinne'' or principal lady-in-waiting to the queen, while her spouse was appointed to the equivalent position to the newly elected king. During the Union of Sweden-Norway the royal family mainly lived in Sweden, and the Norwegian royal court staff only served when the royal family visited Norway. Ole Hansen, GCVO (31 July 1842 – 4 November 1922) was a Norwegian army officer. He was born in Enebakk. He was Commanding General of the Norwegian Army from 1903 to 1910, with the rank of lieutenant general. He was decorated Knight in 1896, Commander in 1904, and with the Grand Cross of the Order of St. Olav in 1910. Elise Løvenskiold was the daughter of the Norwegian landowner baron Harald Wedel-Jarlsberg (1811–1897) and Elise Frederikke Butenschøn (1820–1868). She married landowner Carl Otto Løvenskiold in 1865. They were the parents of Harald Løvenskiold (1868–1934). Her spouse served as Norwegian Prime Minister in Stockholm in 1884. She was appointed principal lady-in-waiting to queen Sophie of Norway. The office had traditionally often been appointed to members of the Løvenskiold and Wedel-Jarlsberg families.
