Marianne Gaarden
Marianne Gaarden (born 4 February 1964) is a Danish prelate who is the 21st and current Bishop of Lolland-Falster. Biography Gaarden is from Brønderslev, where she became a student at Brønderslev School in 1983. She subsequently went to Barcelona to study at an art school, where she graduated in 1990. Afterwards she commenced studies in theology at the University of Copenhagen, from which she graduated in 2005. That same year she finished he studies at the Copenhagen Seminary. Between 2006 and 2007 she was parish priest at Frederiksborg Castle Church in Hillerød. In 2007 she was appointed as parish pries of Præstø-Skibinge parish in the Diocese of Roskilde. Between 20110 and 2014 she undertook doctorate studies in business at Aarhus University. In 2015 she was appointed as theologian consultant for the Diocese of Helsingør with responsibility for priesthood training and counseling and guidance of church councils. Diocese Of Lolland–Falster
The Diocese of Lolland–Falster (Danish: ''Lolland–Falsters Stift'') is a diocese within the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Denmark. It comprises Lolland and Falster as well as a number of smaller islands in the south-eastern corner of Denmark. The diocese was disjoined from the Diocese of Funen in 1803 and is the smallest of the 10 dioceses within the Danish state church. The main church is Maribo Cathedral in Maribo but the bishop resides in Nykøbing Falster. The Diocese of Helsingør (Danish: Helsingør Stift) is a diocese within the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Denmark. It comprises the Danish Capital Region except for the core municipalities of Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Tårnby and Dragør. Disjoined from the Diocese of Copenhagen on 1 January 1961, it is the most recently established of the 10 dioceses within the Danish state church. The main church is Saint Olaf's Church in Helsingør. Maribo Cathedral
Maribo Cathedral ( da, Maribo Domkirke) is a Gothic cathedral church in Maribo on the island of Lolland in the southeast of Denmark. It was originally part of Maribo Abbey which was founded in the early 15th century. The chancel, the oldest section of the cathedral, probably dates from 1416.
