Marcelo Déda
Marcelo Déda Chagas (11 March 1960 – 2 December 2013) was a Brazilian politician. He was the mayor of Aracaju from 2000 to 2006, and was elected in 2006 and 2010 as Governor of Sergipe. Déda was born in Simão Dias. His political career had begun during the ''Secondarist Movement'' (Movemento Secundarista). His first contact with the DCE was at the Federal University of Sergipe, during the lifetime of the student leftist political group in the University called "Action". In 1982, in the first election of the Worker's Party ( Partido do Trabalhador), Déda was nominated as a candidate for state representative. He was 22 years old, and he obtained almost 300 votes. In 1985, he was active during the elections for mayor in Aracaju and the present governor candidate. The campaign took off, and Marcelo Déda achieved second place at the ballot box, with approximately 19,000 votes. Excellency
Excellency is an honorific style given to certain high-level officers of a sovereign state, officials of an international organization, or members of an aristocracy. The Public Prosecutor's Office ( pt, Ministério Público, lit. "Public Ministry", also usually referred as "MP") is the Brazilian body of independent public prosecutors at both the federal (') and state level (''Ministério Público Estadual''). It operates independently from the three branches of government. It was once referred by constitutional lawyer and former president Michel Temer as a "Fourth Branch". João Alves Filho
João Alves Filho (3 July 1941 – 24 November 2020) was a Brazilian politician and civil engineer. Career He served as governor of the state of Sergipe from 1983 to 1987, from 1991 to 1995, and from 2003 to 2007. From 1987 to 1990 he was Brazilian Minister of the Interior. He was married to senator Maria do Carmo Alves. He was accused of accepting bribes in public works projects, as uncovered in Operação Navalha. He died on 24 November 2020, aged 79 after being hospitalized at Sírio Libanês Hospital in Brasília due to a cardiac arrest and, posteriorly, diagnosed with COVID-19. Simão Dias
Simão Dias is a Brazilian municipality located in the far west of the Brazilian state of Sergipe. Its population was 40,606 (2020) and it has an area of 560km2. It was founded in 1890. Paripiranga has adjacent municipalities in the State of Bahia, which are: Poço Verde, Tobias Barreto, Riachão do Dantas, Lagarto, Macambira, Pedra Mole and Pinhão territory in Sergipe. History Origin Simão Dias is built on a village of indigenous (remnants of ) fugitives who had fled the north, where Governor Luís de Brito e Almeida was carrying out colonizing expeditions in the sixteenth century.
