Marc Molinaro
Marcus J. Molinaro (born October 8, 1975) is an American politician. A member of the Republican Party, Molinaro is the U.S. representative-elect for New York's 19th congressional district, and is currently serving his third term as county executive of Dutchess County, New York. Molinaro was previously a member of the Dutchess County Legislature and the New York State Assembly before being elected county executive for the first time in 2011. He was re-elected county executive in 2015 and 2019. Molinaro is also a former Mayor of Tivoli; when he became mayor at age 19, he was the youngest mayor in the United States. Molinaro was the Republican nominee for Governor of New York in 2018, but was defeated by Democratic incumbent Andrew Cuomo. On May 25, 2021, the ''Poughkeepsie Journal'' reported that Molinaro would not run for governor in 2022, instead endorsing Lee Zeldin for the governorship. Andrew Cuomo
Andrew Mark Cuomo ( ; ; born December 6, 1957) is an American lawyer and politician who served as the 56th governor of New York from 2011 to 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, he was elected to the same position that his father, Mario Cuomo, held for three terms (52nd governor). In 2021, Cuomo resigned from office amidst numerous allegations of sexual misconduct. At the time of his resignation, he was the longest-serving governor in the United States still in position. Reform Party Of New York
The Reform Party of New York State was the New York branch of the Reform Party of the United States of America. The branch was founded in 2000 after the Independence Party of New York, which had been affiliated with the national Reform Party from 1994 to 2000, severed ties with the national party. A statewide ballot-access party bearing the Reform Party name, which had a sometimes contentious relationship with the national party, existed from 2015 to 2018. It was originally named the Stop Common Core party, referring to the common core educational curriculum. The 2018 New York gubernatorial election occurred on November 6, 2018. Incumbent Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo won re-election to a third term, defeating Republican Marc Molinaro and several minor party candidates. Cuomo received 59.6% of the vote to Molinaro's 36.2%. Cuomo defeated actress and activist Cynthia Nixon in the Democratic gubernatorial primary. Cuomo's running mate, Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul, outpolled New York City Councillor Jumaane Williams in the Democratic primary for the lieutenant governorship. Brian M. Kolb (born August 14, 1952) is an American politician who served as a member of the New York State Assembly for the 131st district from 2000 to 2021. Kolb also served as minority leader from 2009 to 2020. Early life and education Kolb was born in Rochester, New York. He received his Associate of Arts degree from Saint Petersburg Junior College in 1980. Ulster County is a county in the U.S. state of New York. It is situated along the Hudson River. As of the 2020 census, the population was 181,851. The county seat is Kingston.
