Karl-Heinz Marbach (5 July 1917 – 27 September 1995) was a German officer who served in the Kriegsmarine, the navy of Nazi Germany, during World War II, and later in the West German Navy. Johann Marbach
Johann Marbach (14 April 1521 – 17 March 1581) was a German Lutheran reformer and controversialist. Life He was born at Lindau in Bavaria. He began his studies at Strasbourg in 1536, and three years later went to Wittenberg, where he shared a house with Martin Luther and took his doctor's degree in 1543. After holding temporary positions at Jena and Isny, in 1545 he accepted a call to Strasbourg. Here, from 1545 to 1558, he was pastor of the Church of St. Nicholas; canon at St. Thomas' from 1546; professor from 1549, and from 1551 president of the Church Convocation. In 1551 he was an envoy from Strasbourg to the Council of Trent. Until Martin Bucer's departure for England (1549) Marbach was on good terms with him as the recognized head of the Strasbourg Church, and remained a regular correspondent. Marbach Stud
The Marbach Stud, german: Haupt- und Landgestüt Marbach, italic=no, is Germany's oldest state stud farm for horse breeding, has a history that dates back over 500 years. It is located in southwest Germany near Gomadingen in the Reutlingen district of Baden-Württemberg. The annual stallion parade is an internationally known attraction, and the stud hosts over 500,000 visitors per year. The stud also offers courses for those wishing to learn to ride or drive, as well as an instructor training program. Marbach is known for producing athletic horses with good temperaments, and has careful management practices, including that of allowing young, untrained horses the opportunity to grow in a natural setting conducive to their mental as well as their physical development. Marbach (Neckar) Station
Marbach (Neckar) station serves the town of Marbach in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is the terminus for line S 4 of the Stuttgart S-Bahn and Regionalbahn trains from Backnang. Until 1966, this was the starting point of the Bottwar Valley Railway (''Bottwartalbahn''), which ran all the way to Heilbronn Süd station. History The Backnang–Bietigheim line was built by the Royal Württemberg State Railways as part of a new east–west link from the Bavarian border at Crailsheim to the Baden border at Mühlacker. The town council of Marbach had long petitioned the government for a connection to the railway network, which the new line would provide. Construction began in 1875. A huge iron truss viaduct with sandstone pillars was built over the Neckar valley between Marbach and Benningen. The station was built about half a kilometre northeast of the centre of the town. Marbach am Neckar is a town about 20 kilometres north of Stuttgart. It belongs to the district of Ludwigsburg, the Stuttgart region and the European metropolitan region of Stuttgart.
