Manglehorn
''Manglehorn'' is a 2014 American drama film directed by David Gordon Green and written by Paul Logan. The film stars Al Pacino, Holly Hunter, Harmony Korine, and Chris Messina. It was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 71st Venice International Film Festival. The film was released in theaters on June 19, 2015 by IFC Films. Plot A.J. Manglehorn is a reclusive Texas key-maker who spends his days caring for his cat, finding comfort in his work, and lamenting a long lost love. David Gordon Green
David Gordon Green is an American filmmaker. He directed the dramas ''George Washington'' (2000), ''All the Real Girls'' (2003), and '' Snow Angels'' (2007), as well as the thriller '' Undertow'' (2004), all of which he wrote or co-wrote. In 2008, Green transitioned into comedy, directing the films ''Pineapple Express'' (2008), ''Your Highness'' and ''The Sitter'' (both 2011). He returned to his dramatic roots with the independent films ''Prince Avalanche'' and ''Joe'' (both 2013), followed by the films ''Manglehorn'' (2014), '' Our Brand Is Crisis'' (2015), and '' Stronger'' (2017). Green also directed a trilogy of slasher films in the ''Halloween'' franchise: ''Halloween'' (2018), ''Halloween Kills'' (2021) and ''Halloween Ends'' (2022), which he co-wrote with frequent collaborator Danny McBride.
