Malatya Airport ( tr, Malatya Havalimanı) is a military and public airport in Malatya, Turkey. The airport, opened in 1941, is located from Malatya. History Being the first built and put into service, airport Malatya has come into use since 1941 in Old Malatya now called Battalgazi. However, the airport was then deployed to another place; lastly, in May 1941 it was built in the area which has been still used. Our airport has been actively used in one of the most developed cities of the East; the distance to the city centre is 34 km; yearly passenger capacity is 100.000 in international line, 900.000 in domestic line and totally it is 1.000.000. plane capacity is 17.250. there is 6 scheduled flight of Civil aviation.
