Müllerian System
The paramesonephric ducts (or Müllerian ducts) are paired ducts of the embryo in the reproductive system of humans and other mammals that run down the lateral sides of the genital ridge and terminate at the sinus tubercle in the primitive urogenital sinus. They form in both sexes during 6th week of fetal development. In the female, go on to form the fallopian tubes/oviducts, uterus, cervix, and the upper one-third of the vagina. In males fetuses, they are normally made to regress by anti-Müllerian hormone which begins to be secreted by the testes during 8th week of fetal development. Each maramesonephric duct is situated just lateral to the mesonephric ducts, mesonephric ducts (Wolffian duct) of the same side. Urogenital Sinus
The urogenital sinus is a body part of a human or other Placentalia, placental only present in the development of the urinary system, development of the urinary and development of the reproductive organs, reproductive organs. It is the ventral part of the cloaca, formed after the cloaca (embryology), cloaca separates from the anal canal during the fourth to seventh weeks of development. In males, the UG sinus is divided into three regions: upper, pelvic, and phallic. The fallopian tubes, also known as uterine tubes, oviducts or salpinges (: salpinx), are paired tubular sex organs in the human female body that stretch from the ovaries to the uterus. The fallopian tubes are part of the female reproductive system. In other vertebrates, they are only called oviducts. The appendix testis (or hydatid of Morgagni) is a vestigial remnant of the Müllerian duct, present on the upper pole of the testis and attached to the tunica vaginalis. It is present about 90% of the time. Persistent Müllerian Duct Syndrome
Persistent Müllerian duct syndrome (PMDS) is the presence of Müllerian duct derivatives (fallopian tubes, uterus, and/or the upper part of the vagina) in what would be considered a genetically and otherwise physically normal male. In humans, PMDS typically is due to an autosomal recessive congenital disorder and is considered by some to be a form of pseudohermaphroditism due to the presence of Müllerian derivatives. PMDS can also present in non-human animals. Typical features include undescended testes ( cryptorchidism) and the presence of a small, underdeveloped uterus in an XY infant or adult. WNT9B
Protein WNT9B (formerly WNT15) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ''WNT9B'' gene. The WNT family of genes produce glycolipoproteins that are involved with signaling and developmental processes. Like other Wnt genes, WNT9B codes for the WNT9B protein which participates in the canonical Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. WNT9B is a gene found on chromosome 17 in region 17q21.
