Mônica Riedel
Monica Morais Dias Riedel (; born September 28, 1970) is the first lady of Mato Grosso do Sul since 2023 as the wife of Governor Eduardo Riedel. Mônica gained more prominence in appearances alongside the husband's work and volunteering. Biography Mônica Riedel married Eduardo Riedel in January 1994, in the city of Jaboticabal, in São Paulo. They met in Rio de Janeiro, in 1987, a year after the release of the song "Eduardo e Mônica", from the band Legião Urbana, which coincidentally has the same name as the couple. They had plans to pursue an academic career and live in Belgium, where Eduardo intended to do his doctorate in genetics, but they ended up moving to Mato Grosso do Sul, where most of Eduardo's family lives. Jaboticabal
Jaboticabal is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population is 77,652 (2020 est.) in an area of 707 km2. The town takes its name from the '' jabuticaba'' tree.
