Telesistema Mexicano was the predecessor of Televisa. Telesistema Mexicano was a television alliance made up of the independently owned television flagship stations XEW-TV, XEW Canal 2, XHTV-TV, XHTV Canal 4, and XHGC-TV, XHGC Canal 5 in Mexico, Distrito Federal. History Telesistema Mexicano was founded in 1955 when Mexico, Distrito Federal television stations XEW-TV, XEW Canal 2 owned by Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta, XHTV-TV, XHTV Canal 4 owned by Rómulo O'Farrill, XHGC-TV, XHGC Canal 5 owned by Guillermo González Camarena, and capital and expertise from Ernesto Barrientos Ventosa merged to form an alliance. María Elena Marqués
María Elena Marqués Rangel (14 December 1926 – 11 November 2008) was a Mexican actress and singer who was a star during the Golden Age of Mexican cinema in the 1940s and 1950s. Biography She was born on December 14, 1926, in Mexico City. She was discovered by the film director Fernando de Fuentes, who was her neighbor. Her first film was ''Dos corazones y un tango'' (1942) where she performed with the Argentine tango singer Andrés Falgás. In 1943 she worked in '' Doña Bárbara'' with María Félix, ''Romeo y Julieta'', with Cantinflas, and ''Así se quiere en Jalisco'', with Jorge Negrete. She worked again with Negrete in ''Me he de comer esa tuna'' (1945) and ''Tal para cual'' (1951). Ada Carrasco (14 September 1912 – 5 April 1994) was a Mexican film and television actress. Early life Carrasco was born in Mexico City, the daughter of Honorato Carrasco, an engineer, and the opera star Ada Navarrete. Career Carrasco started her career as an actress in 1952, and went on to make over 38 soap operas, including '' Los Ricos También Lloran'', with Verónica Castro in 1979, '' Rosa Salvaje'' in 1987, ''De Frente al Sol'' in 1992, ''Más Allá del Puente'' in 1994, and finally, her last soap opera was made in 1994 in '' Marimar'' with Thalía. Anabel Gutiérrez Aicua (17 September 1931 – 21 August 2022) was a Mexican actress and comedian. Her most memorable works included her participation in the film ''School for Tramps'' (1955), as well as her appearances on the program ''Chespirito'' (1970), playing the character of Doña Espotaverderona in some sketches. Biography Anabel Gutiérrez Aicua was born in Mexico City on 17 September 1931.
