Mátészalka District
Mátészalka () is a district in central-eastern part of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County. ''Mátészalka'' is also the name of the town where the district seat is found. The district is located in the Northern Great Plain, Northern Great Plain Statistical Region. This district is a part of Szatmár historical and geographical region. Geography Mátészalka District borders with Vásárosnamény District to the north, Fehérgyarmat District and Csenger District to the east, the Romanian county of Satu Mare County, Satu Mare to the south, NyÃrbátor District and Baktalórántháza District to the west. Districts of Hungary are the second-level divisions of Hungary after counties. They replaced the 175 subregions of Hungary in 2013. There are 174 districts in the 19 counties, and there are 23 districts in Budapest. Ököritófülpös
Ököritófülpös is a village in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary. Location It is located in eastern region of the county on the Szatmári plain. Today the entire settlement lies on the left bank of the Szamos, but before the regulation of the river, only the present-day Ököritó and Mácsa settlement parts fell on the left bank, Fülpös was on the other side. The former river section that divided the present-day settlement into separate parts is now a backwater, which winds from Cégénydányád almost all the way to the border of Nábrád, approximately 25 kilometers long. Nagyecsed
Nagyecsed is a town in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary. The old name of the town was Ecsed but over time it has been renamed Nagyecsed, meaning "grand" or "great Ecsed" to distinguish it. The area had close associations with a cadet branch of the Báthory family. Elizabeth Báthory was raised in the town's now ruined castle. Her main residence and later her prison was Csejte Castle, Upper Hungary, now in Slovakia, but she was buried in the family crypt at Ecsed.
