Mário Tilico
Mário de Oliveira Costa (born 23 March 1968), better known as Mário Tilico, is a Brazilian former professional footballer and manager who played as a winger. Career Mário Tilico started in the youth levels of Vasco da Gama, the club for which his father played in the 60s. It was at São Paulo FC where he stood out the most important moment in his career, scoring the goal of the 1991 Brazilian Championship title. He was loaned to Cruzeiro in 1991, and won the Supercopa Libertadores title. In 1992, Tilico migrated to Spanish football where he played for Cádiz, Marbella and Atlético Madrid. In 1999, he helped win the most important title in the history of EC Juventude, the Copa do Brasil. Managerial career Tilico began his career as a manager at Ríver AC, in the dispute of the Copa Piauí in 2009. The 1989 Campeonato Paulista da Primeira Divisão de Futebol Profissional was the 88th season of São Paulo's top professional football league. São Paulo won the championship for the 16th time. No teams were relegated. Championship The twenty-two teams of the championship were divided into two groups of eleven teams, with each team playing once against the teams of its own group and the other group. The three best teams of each group, plus the six overall best teams aside of them would qualify to the Third phase. The Campeonato Paulista Série A1, commonly known as Campeonato Paulista, nicknamed Paulistão, is the top-flight professional state football league in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. The Campeonato Carioca (Carioca Championship), officially known as Campeonato Estadual do Rio de Janeiro (Rio de Janeiro State Championship), also commonly known as the Cariocão, is the top-flight professional state football league in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. Taça Guanabara
The Taça Guanabara ( English: Guanabara Cup) is an annual football tournament attached to the Campeonato Carioca, the state football league in the Rio de Janeiro state. It has been organized since 1965 by the Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation. It has had different formats throughout its history. In its first seven editions (1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970 and 1971), the Taça Guanabara was a tournament in its own right, unrelated to the Campeonato Carioca, and the winner would represent Rio de Janeiro in the Taça Brasil national league competition. Amaro Gomes da Costa (30 April 1942 – 19 December 2019), better known as Mário Tilico, was a Brazilian professional footballer who played as a forward. Career Formed in the youth categories of Santa Cruz where did he get the nickname "Mário Tilico", in the second half of 1962, Mário Tilico left Arruda and signed a commitment to Portuguesa de Desportos (SP), a modest first stint, visibly hampered by the lack of adaptation to the climate of the “Land of Drizzle”. He was brought to Vasco in 1963, where he stood out and was champion of the Taça Guanabara in 1965. He repeated the feat the following year at Fluminense, and would still play for Bangu, America and Portuguesa de Desportos. Mário Tilico was a Vasco striker from 1963 until early 1966, playing in 128 games and scoring 50 goals.
