Mária Tasnádi Fekete
Maria von Tasnady (16 November 1911 – 16 March 2001) was a Hungarian singer, stage actor, stage and film actress. She was born as Mária Tasnádi Fekete and used a variety of other professional names including Maria De Tasnady during her career. Von Tasnady was born to Hungarians in Romania, ethnically Hungarian parents in Transylvania when it was still part of Austria-Hungary. Following its transfer to Kingdom of Romania, Romania after World War I, she emigrated to Kingdom of Hungary (1920–1946), Hungary. She was the Hungarian entrant at the Miss Europe 1931, 1931 Miss Europe contest, losing out to the French winner. Moving to Weimar Germany, Germany, she made her film debut in 1932. Von Tasnady appeared in twenty five films during her career. Petrila
Petrila (; ) is a town in the Jiu Valley, Hunedoara County, Transylvania, Romania. It is located near the confluence of the rivers Jiul de Est, Taia (river), Taia, and Jieț (Jiu), Jieț. The town administers four villages: Cimpa (''Csimpa''), Jieț (''Zsiec''), Răscoala (''Reszkola''), and Tirici. History A Romanian town in the Carpathian Mountains, Petrila is an ancient settlement, but its existence was not documented until 1493 in a donation letter between Vladislas II of Bohemia and Hungary, Vladislav the First, King of Hungary and a Romanian prince named Mihai Cande. Bruno Duday
Bruno Duday (14 March 1880 – 31 January 1946) was a German film producer. After military service during the First World War Duday worked for many years at Germany's largest studio UFA where he oversaw several films of the Swedish star Zarah Leander including ''To New Shores'' (1937).Langford p.81 Duday was head of a production unit, under the overall control of studio head Ernst Hugo Correll. When the Second World War began he resigned from UFA and volunteered for military service. He was in charge of a POW camp. Following his later capture by Allied forces at the end of the war, he suffered from ill health and died in Berlin in 1946. He was married several times including to the Hungarian actress Maria von Tasnady.
