Mária Homolová
Mária Homolová (born 29 September 1987) is a Slovak former artistic gymnast. She represented Slovakia at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She is the 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2011 Slovakian national all-around champion. Early life Homolová was born on 29 September 1987 in Zvolen. Her father and brother both played professional football. She began gymnastics at six years old after quitting figure skating. Career Homolová won the junior Slovakian national all-around titles in 2000, 2001, and 2003. She competed at her first World Championships in 2003 and finished 136th in the all-around during the qualification round. She did not qualify for the 2004 Summer Olympics. She finished 109th at the 2006 World Championships and 98th at the 2007 World Championships. She missed out on qualification for the 2008 Summer Olympics by 0.300 points. Zvolen
Zvolen (; ; ) is a city in central Slovakia, situated on the confluence of Hron and Slatina rivers. It is famous for several historical and cultural attractions. It is surrounded by Poľana mountain from the East, by Kremnické vrchy from the West and by Javorie and Štiavnické vrchy from the South. 2013 Summer Universiade
The 2013 Summer Universiade, officially known as the XXVII Summer Universiade (; ), was held in the city of Kazan, Russia, the most northerly city ever to host a Summer Universiade. Over 10,400 university athletes from 162 countries participated in 13 mandatory and 14 optional sports, making the 2013 Universiade the biggest ever in the history of the event. For the first time in history a Cultural Universiade was also included, with many festivals and shows held simultaneously with the sporting events. The Universiade was organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and by the authorities of the Russian Federation. The qualifications round of the women's artistic gymnastics competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics was held at the North Greenwich Arena on July 29. The top 8 teams advanced to the team final, the top 24 gymnasts (with a limit of two per country) to the individual all-around final, and the top 8 gymnasts on each apparatus (with a limit of two per country) to the apparatus finals.
