Mutrécy () is a commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region in northwestern France. Geography The commune is part of the area known as Suisse Normande. The commune is made up of the following collection of villages and hamlets, La Butte, Le Drollet and Mutrécy. The River Orne plus three streams The Coupe-Gorge, la Petite Vallee and La Grande Vallee are the four watercourses running through the commune. Population Points of interest National heritage sites *Saint-Clair Church is an eleventh century church which was listed as a monument in 1913. Norman Switzerland
Norman Switzerland (; ) is a term for part of Normandy, France, in the border region of the departments Calvados and Orne. Its name comes from its rugged and verdant relief, apparently resembling the Swiss Alps, with gorges carved by the river Orne and its tributaries, and by erosion in the Armorican Massif between Putanges-Pont-Écrepin and Thury-Harcourt. The river has created a generally rugged landscape. Churches, houses and farm buildings have a style closer to what is found across the English Channel in the United Kingdom (i.e., stone buildings with slate roofs), rather than the timber structures of the Pays d'Auge. There are many outdoor tourist activities: canoeing, horse riding, rock climbing, hang gliding, kayaking, paragliding and mountain biking. The Communauté de communes Cingal-Suisse Normande is a federation of municipalities (''communauté de communes'') in the Calvados ''département'' and in the Normandy ''région'' of France. Its seat is Thury-Harcourt-le-Hom. Its area is 373.9 km2, and its population in 2019 was 24,516. It covers some of the Communes that make up the area known as Suisse Normande. Amayé-sur-Orne
Amayé-sur-Orne (, literally ''Amayé on Orne (river), Orne'') is a Communes of France, commune in the Calvados (department), Calvados Departments of France, department in the Normandy (administrative region), Normandy Regions of France, region of northwestern France. Geography ''Amayé-sur-Orne'' is located approximately 10 km south-west of Caen and 5 km east of Évrecy. It can be accessed by road D212 from Vieux, Calvados, Vieux in the north which continues south to Thury-Harcourt and by road D41 from Evrecy in the west which continues to Clinchamps-sur-Orne in the east. Closely located to the town are a number of hamlets including: Saint-Lambert, La Butte, Le Pont du Coudray, and Les Godets. These villages form a single conurbation with the village.
