Narakasura is the evil demon King of Pragjyotisha, and Mura dies during his battle with Sri Krishna Biography Mura is born to the sage Kashyap and his wife Danu. Midwestern Universities Research Association
The Midwestern Universities Research Association (MURA) was a collaboration between 15 universities with the goal of designing and building a particle accelerator for the Midwestern United States. It existed between 1953–1967, but could not achieve its goal in this time and lost funding. It was thought that President John F. Kennedy would have supported the MURA machine, while one of President Lyndon B. Johnson's first actions was the shutdown of the MURA machine and laboratory. In its formative years, Donald Kerst was the director of MURA. At this institution, Keith Symon invented the FFAG accelerator, independently to Tihiro Ohkawa, which combines several concepts of cyclotrons and synchrotron A synchrotron is a particular type of cyclic particle accelerator, descended from the cyclotron, in which the accelerating particle beam travels around a fixed closed-loop path. Muran Languages
Mura is a language of Amazonas, Brazil. It is most famous for Pirahã, its sole surviving dialect. Linguistically, it is typified by agglutinativity, a very small phoneme inventory (around 11 compared to around 44 in English), whistled speech, and the use of tone. In the 19th century, there were an estimated 30,000–60,000 Mura speakers. It is now spoken by only 300 Pirahã people in eight villages. Classification Mura is often proposed to be related to Matanawí. Kaufman (1994) also suggests a connection with Huarpe in his ''Macro-Warpean'' proposal. Dialects Since at least Barboza Rodrigues (1892), there have been three ethnic names commonly listed as dialects of Mura, or even as Muran languages. The names are: * Bohurá, or ''Buxwaray'', the original form of the name 'Mura'; spoken on the Autaz River * Pirahã, or ''Pirahá, Pirahán'', the name the remaining dialect goes by * Yahahí, also spelled ''Jahahi''; spoken on the Branco River (unattested) On the basis of a m ...

Edo-period Village
During the Edo period of Japanese history, were self-governing administrative units, led by the . Description The development of mura reflected specific changes that show the transition of the Edo community from medieval agricultural to mature administrative unit. Before the Edo period, samurai administered the villages, but during the sword hunt they were put to a choice: give up their sword and status and remain on the land as a peasant, or live in a as a paid retainer of the local ''daimyō'' (lord). Villages were also manufacturing units: In western Japan, cottage industries developed, with each family of the village taking over a one step of the production process. Villages were taxed as a unit, with the village headman responsible for taxation. Taxes were paid in rice, often 40 to 50% of the harvest. Criminal punishments could also be imposed on the village as a unit. Prior to the emergence of religious authorities such as the Buddhist establishment, ''mura'' - along ...

Mura (Japanese Term)
is a Japanese word meaning "unevenness; irregularity; lack of uniformity; nonuniformity; inequality", and is a key concept in the Toyota Production System (TPS) as one of the three types of waste ('' muda'', ''mura'', '' muri''). Waste in this context refers to the wasting of time or resources rather than wasteful by-products and should not be confused with waste reduction. Toyota adopted these three Japanese words as part of their product improvement program, due to their familiarity in common usage. ''Mura'', in terms of business/process improvement, is avoided through just-in-time manufacturing systems, which are based on keeping little or no inventory. These systems supply the production process with the right part, at the right time, in the right amount, using first-in, first-out (FIFO) component flow. Just-in-time systems create a "pull system" in which each sub-process withdraws its needs from the preceding sub-processes, and ultimately from an outside supplier. When ...
