Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrissa
Alhaji Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrissa (born 14 August 1956) was appointed 13th Emir, or Nigerian traditional rulers, traditional ruler, of the Fika Emirate on 16 March 2009. The emir's palace is in Potiskum, Yobe State, Nigeria. The Emir (or Moi in the local language) is head of the Bole people. Early years Muhammad Abali was born in Potiskum on 14 August 1956, the eldest son of Alhaji Abali Ibn Muhammadu, the 12th Emir. He attended Kaduna Capital School (1963–1969), Barewa College, Zaria (1970–1974) and Land Dowel Tutors College in the United Kingdom (1975–1977). Muhammadu Ribadu
Muhammadu Ribadu (1909 – 1 May 1965) was a Nigerian politician, who was the first Minister of Defence after independence. The son of a district head from Adamawa's Balala district, he was educated at a Qur'anic school before proceeding to the Yola Middle School for conventional education. Early life and education Ribadu was born in the village of Ribadu, old Adamawa Province. He was the son of Ardo Hamza, District Head of Balala, and Adda Wuro, the daughter of Alkali Hamman Joda from Yola. He is the grandfather of former Nigerian first lady Aisha Buhari. He started studies under the tutelage of Liman Yahaya, an Islamic scholar. He then attended Yola Middle School from 1920 to 1926. Muhammadu Maiturare
Muhammadu Maiturare () was Sultan of Sokoto from 1915 until his death in 1924. He was a descendant of Abu Bakr Atiku and son of Sultan Ahmadu Atiku. His mother was the daughter of a Tuareg chief. Life Before becoming Sultan, Maiturare held the title of Marafa Gwadabawa and was a member of the traditional committee that elected Muhammadu Attahiru II, Lugard's choice for the post of Sultan. Maiturare was notable for developing the district of Gwadabawa in Sokoto. Muhammadu Maccido
Ibrahim Muhammadu Maccido Abubakar III (20 April 1928 – 29 October 2006), often shortened to Muhammadu Maccido, was the 19th Sultan of Sokoto in Nigeria. He was the son and primary aide to Siddiq Abubakar III (1903–1988) who had been the Sultan of Sokoto for 50 years. Maccido served in many functions of government during his life, most prominently as the liaison official to Nigerian President Shehu Shagari (rule 1979–1983), until a military coup removed Shagari from power. When his father died in 1988, the head of the military government in Nigeria, Ibrahim Babangida appointed Ibrahim Dasuki (rule 1985–1993) as the new Sultan of Sokoto, a decision which caused large-scale, violent protests throughout northern Nigeria. Muhammadu Kudu Abubakar Ubandoma III, Emir of Agaie (died 30 March 2014) was appointed Etsu (Ruler) of the Agaie Emirate, a traditional state based in Agaie in Niger State, Nigeria on 30 April 2004. Muhammadu Kabir Usman
Alhaji Dr. Muhammadu Kabir Usman (January 1928 – 8 March 2008) was the 49th Emir of Katsina from 18 March 1981, until his death in March 2008. He was the tenth Fulani emir, as well as the third emir from the Sullubawa dynasty. He succeeded his father Usman Nagogo, and was succeeded by his son, the current emir Abdulmumini Kabir Usman. Muhammadu Junaidu
Dr. Waziri Junaidu (1906 – 9 January 1997) was a Nigerian historian, writer and one of the foremost scholars on Fulani history and the Sokoto Caliphate. He held the title of the Waziri of Sokoto. Life He was born into an aristocratic family, the Gidado family of Sokoto, which had produced a large number of viziers for the caliphate. As a youth, he was tutored by Islamic scholars and was gradually introduced to his family's advisory tradition within the Sokoto chieftaincy.
