The iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards were an annual awards show broadcast annually on Much (TV channel), Much from 1990 to 2018, and Fuse (TV channel), Fuse from 2010 to 2013 that honoured the year's best music videos. Originally debuting in 1990 as the Canadian Music Video Awards, the awards were renamed in 1995 to the MuchMusic Video Awards. In 2016, the show was rebranded under the iHeartRadio banner after Much's parent company, Bell Media, reached a licensing agreement with iHeartMedia. The show's full name was officially dropped in 2018. The 2018 edition would ultimately be the last, amidst the scaling back and eventual discontinuation of all music programming on the channel due to declining ratings. Karl Amani Wailoo (born March 6, 1978), better known by his stage name Saukrates (; "Socrates"), is a Canadian rapper, singer, and record producer. He is the co-founder of Capitol Hill Music, and lead singer of the hip-hop/ R&B group Big Black Lincoln. He is also a member of Redman's Gilla House collective. Desmond Francis, better known by his stage name Infinite, is a Canadian rapper, best known for his contributions to the '' Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike'' soundtrack, and as a member of hip hop group Ghetto Concept. Raised in the Rexdale neighbourhood of Toronto, Infinite is the youngest of three brothers. He began his career as a DJ for Ghetto Concept, debuting as a rapper on the group's 1994 single "E-Z on tha Motion", which won a Juno Award for Best Rap Recording. Ghetto Concept is a Canadian hip-hop duo from Toronto, Ontario, composed of Kwajo Cinqo and Dolo. History Kwajo Cinqo (Kwajo Boateng) and Dolo (Lowell Frazer) formed Ghetto Concept in 1992, hailing from the Rexdale and Lawrence Heights neighbourhoods of Toronto.
