Mount Kindersley
Mount Kindersley is a mountain in British Columbia, Canada. Description Mount Kindersley is located north of Radium Hot Springs in Kootenay National Park. The peak is the second-highest point of the Brisco Range which is a subrange of the Canadian Rockies. Precipitation runoff from this mountain's east slope drains to the Kootenay River via Nixon and Meadow creeks, whereas the west slope drains to the Columbia River via Kindersley Creek. Topographic relief is significant with the summit rising 1,100 metres (3,609 ft) above Kindersley Creek in . The mountain is named after Sir Robert Kindersley (1871–1954), who toured Canada in 1920. Kindersley was Governor (Company Chairman) of the Hudson's Bay Company from 1915 to 1925. The mountain's toponym was officially adopted September 9, 1924, by the Geographical Names Board of Canada. Robert Molesworth Kindersley, 1st Baron Kindersley (21 November 1871 – 20 July 1954) was an England, English Businessperson, businessman, stockbroker, merchant banker, and public servant who organised the National Savings Movement. The Rocky Mountain Trench, also known as the Valley of a Thousand Peaks or simply the Trench, is a large valley on the western side of the northern part of North America's Rocky Mountains. The Trench is both visually and cartographically a striking physiographic feature extending approximately from Flathead Lake, Montana, to the Liard River, just south of the British Columbia–Yukon border near Watson Lake, Yukon. The trench bottom is wide and is above sea level. Edgewater, British Columbia
Edgewater is an unincorporated hamlet located in the East Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia with a population of 720 in 2021 and a population density of 70.4 people per square kilometre. It is along Highway 95 south of Golden and on the perimeter of Kootenay National Park. It was originally founded as a farming community in 1912. Many of its residents were from England, and returned there after the war, causing the community to suffer a decline in population. Edgewater has since recovered, and the area's economy includes forestry, agriculture, and tourism. Edgewater has couple of major attractions that draw travellers. The area around the community is farmland used for Christmas trees. During the summer, the Saturday Farmer's Market is where tourists can purchase arts and crafts, fresh produce and dairy products. Mount Harkin
Mount Harkin is a mountain summit located in the Kootenay River Valley along the eastern border of Kootenay National Park. Park visitors can see the peak from Highway 93, also known as the Banff–Windermere Highway. It is part of the Mitchell Range, which is a sub-range of the Canadian Rockies of British Columbia, Canada.
