Morshed Hasan Khan
Md. Morshed Hasan Khan is an academic and professor of marketing at the University of Dhaka. Khan is the convenor of the white panel (In Bengali Sada Dal), a teacher's organization affiliated with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. He is the secretary general of the University Teachers' Association of Bangladesh. Career Khan is an assistant training affairs secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party's executive committee. Khan had written an article called ''"Jyotirmoy Zia"'' for ''Daily Naya Diganta, Naya Diganta'' that allegedly contained defamatory content about former President Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He was suspended in 2018 after protests by the Bangladesh Chhatra League. A sedition case was filed against him by an activist of the Bangladesh Chhatra League, the student wing of the Awami League. The University of Dhaka (), also known as Dhaka University (DU), is a public university, public research university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Established in 1921, it is the oldest active university in the country. The University of Dhaka was founded in 1921 under the Dacca University Act 1920 of the Indian Legislative Council. Bangladesh Nationalist Party
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (), popularly abbreviated as BNP (), is a major List of political parties in Bangladesh, political party in Bangladesh. It was founded on 1 September 1978 by President of Bangladesh, President Ziaur Rahman, with a view of uniting people with a Bangladeshi nationalism, nationalist ideology. Later, the BNP emerged as one of the two traditionally dominant parties in Bangladesh, along with it's rival, the Awami League. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is the largest Islamist political party in Bangladesh. The origin of the party can be traced back to the original faction founded by Sayyid Abul A'la Maududi in 1941. The predecessor of Jamaat which is known as Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, allegedly opposed the independence of Bangladesh and the dismemberment of Pakistan. Following the independence of Bangladesh, the party was banned along with all other religion-based parties in 1972 by the regime. The ban was lifted in 1976 by the Sayem administration and its leaders were allowed to participate in political activities after 1979, and the current Bangladeshi faction of Jamaat-e-Islami was formed after the ban on religion-based parties was lifted by Ziaur Rahman.
