Monument To Doina And Ion Aldea Teodorovici, Chişinău
Doina and Ion Aldea Teodorovici was a Moldovan musical duo consisting of married couple Doina and Ion Aldea Teodorovici. The group disbanded in 1992, after both members died in a road traffic accident in Coșereni. Today, there is a monument to them there, as well as another in Chișinău. History In 1981, Doina Marin married Ion Aldea-Teodorovici. Their son, Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici, was born on August 5, 1982. From 1982 onwards, Doina began to explore her talent as a pop music performer, closely collaborating with her husband. In 1985, they participated in a cultural program, attending a school for young researchers in Vadul lui Vodă alongside the renowned poet Grigore Vieru. In 1988, she assumed a role as a literature professor, teaching world literature at the Academy of Music, Theater, and Fine Arts in Chișinău. She was also an active vocalist in the band "DIATE." The Order of the Republic () is Moldova's highest Order (decoration), order. It is awarded by the President of Moldova for exceptional merits in all fields which benefit Moldova and humanity as a whole. Golden Stag Festival
The Golden Stag Festival () is an international pop song contest, festival, and award show, held annually in the Piața Sfatului of Braşov, Romania. First held in 1968, the festival honors musical talents both in Romania and abroad. The doina () is a Romanian musical tune style, possibly with Middle Eastern roots, customary in Romanian peasant music, as well as in lăutărească music. It was also adopted into klezmer music.
