Monfort-Théâtre
The Théâtre Silvia-Monfort () is a theatre company and building in Paris, located at 106 rue Brancion in the 15th arrondissement. It has 456 seats and its stage is 15m wide by 7m high. History In 1972, Silvia Monfort set up the Carré Thorigny in a scrap metal warehouse in Paris's Marais, where she hosted contemporary and classic plays as well as dance and music. She favoured Cirque Grüss's installation in the courtyard of the hôtel Salé. This first ''Carré'' was named "cultural centre of Les Halles and the Marais" by the town council of Paris and the French Ministry of Culture. In 1974 the ''Carré'' moved into the abandoned premises of the théâtre de la Gaîté-Lyrique, setting up the Grüss circus in the square outside the theatre and taking the name "Nouveau Carré Silvia-Monfort". Rue Brancion
The Rue Brancion is a street in the Saint-Lambert quarter in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, France. Route The Rue Brancion starts at 6, Place d'Alleray and ends at 167, Boulevard Lefebvre. It forms the eastern boundary of the Parc Georges-Brassens and crosses over the disused tracks of the Petite Ceinture railway line. Silvia Monfort
Silvia Monfort (, born Simone Marguerite Favre-Bertin , 6 June 1923 – 30 March 1991) was a French actress and theatre director. She was the daughter of Charles-Maurice Favre-Bertin, a French sculptor, decorator, and medalist, and was the wife of Pierre Gruneberg. She was named a Knight of the Legion of Honour in 1973, an Officer of Arts and Letters in 1979, and Commander of Arts and Letters in 1983. She died in 1991 of lung cancer, and is buried in the Père Lachaise Cemetery. Early life and education Monfort was born in the neighborhood of Le Marais in Rue Elzévir, a short distance from Rue de Thorigny, where she would set up her first theatre in 1972. The Jardin d'Acclimatation () is a children's amusement park in the northern part of the Bois de Boulogne in western Paris, alongside other attractions. History Opened on 6 October 1860 by Napoléon III and Empress Eugénie, this Paris zoo was originally known as ''Jardin Zoologique d'Acclimatation'', where plants and animals from the colonies could acclimatise to France's weather conditions. Claude Parent (26 February 1923 – 27 February 2016), born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, was a French architect. Architect, polemicist and theoretician, Claude Parent was the first person in France to make a sharp epistemological break with Modern architecture, modernism, beginning in the mid 1950s. Through articles, books, magnificent manifesto-drawings and built projects, his work has enabled us to rethink our understanding and evolve our grasp of space. Parc Georges-Brassens
Parc Georges-Brassens is a public park located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, between rue des Morillons and rue de Périchaux. Opened in 1984, it occupies 7.74 hectares on the site of a former fish market, horse market and slaughterhouse, and preserves some of the old market structures. It is named for the French popular singer Georges Brassens (1921–1981) who lived in the neighborhood of the park at 9 impasse Florimont and 42 rue Santos Dumont. The nearest metro stations to the park are Convention and Porte-de-Vanves.
