Mon-El
Lar Gand, known mainly as Mon-El (and alternatively as Valor and M'Onel), is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with the Legion of Super-Heroes, Superboy (Kal-El), Superboy, and Superman. The character has been reinterpreted over the years, but in all versions serves as a hero with abilities similar to those of Superman, sometimes serving as a substitute for him. Mon-El appears in the Supergirl (season 2), second season of ''Supergirl (TV series), Supergirl'', portrayed by Chris Wood (actor), Chris Wood. Additionally, Superman X, a character loosely based on Mon-El, appears in the animated series ''Legion of Super Heroes (TV series), Legion of Super Heroes'', voiced by Yuri Lowenthal. Supergirl (season 2)
The second season of the American television series ''Supergirl (TV series), Supergirl'', which is based on the DC Comics character Supergirl (Kara Zor-El), Supergirl / Kara Zor-El, a costumed superheroine who is the cousin to Superman and one of the last surviving Krypton (comics), Kryptonians. The season was ordered in May 2016, and unlike the Supergirl season 1, first season which aired on CBS, this season was picked up by The CW. While the first season was filmed in Los Angeles, beginning with this season filming relocated to Vancouver, to reduce the high production costs of the series. Other exterior shots were taken in Frankfurt (Germany) and show the local Deutsche Bank Twin Towers, Deutsche Bank Building, which stands as the new headquarter for the Department of Extranormal Operations, DEO. Superboy (Kal-El)
Superboy is an identity used by several fictional superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. These characters have been featured in several eponymous comic series, in addition to ''Adventure Comics'' and other series featuring teenage superhero groups. From the character's first published story in 1944 until 1992, the title ''Superboy'' was applied to versions of the adventures of Superman, Clark Kent as a boy, teenager or young adult. The primary settings for the stories were the fictional town of Smallville (comics), Smallville, the Legion of Super-Heroes, 30th Century (where Superboy featured in time travel adventures with the Legion of Super-Heroes), and Clark's university. In 1993, a second Superboy was introduced, a young clone of Superman who was eventually given both the secret identity Conner Kent and the ancestral name Kon-El.
