Mohand Chérif Hannachi (2 April 1950 – 13 November 2020) was an Algerian football player and chairman of Algerian club JS Kabylie Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie (Kabyle grammar, Kabyle: Ilemẓiyen inaddalen n leqvayel; Berber languages, Tamazight: ⵉⵍⵎⵣⵢⵏ ⵉⵏⴰⴷⴰⵍⵏ ⵏ ⵍⵇⵠⴰⵢⵍ; ), known as JS Kabylie or simply JSK, is an Algerian profession .... He was the team chairman from his election in 1993 until 2017. Hannachi died on 13 November 2020, in Algiers at the age of 70 from COVID-19. Larbaâ Nath Irathen ( Kabyle: Larebɛa n at Yiraten, or in Tifinagh, Arabic: الأربعاء ناث اراتين) is a town in Tizi Ouzou Province, in the central part of northern Algeria. Kabyle People
The Kabyle people (, or ''Leqbayel'' or ''Iqbayliyen'', , ) are a Berbers, Berber ethnic group indigenous to Kabylia in the north of Algeria, spread across the Atlas Mountains, east of Algiers. They represent the largest Berber population of Algeria and the second largest in North Africa. Many of the Kabyles have emigrated from Algeria, influenced by factors such as the Algerian Civil War, cultural repression by the central Algerian government, and overall industrial decline. The Algerian Cup () also known the Republic Cup (), is a football competition in Algeria, pitting regional teams against each other. It was established in October 1962, three months after independence, and has been played yearly since then apart from 1990 and 1993. The most successful club in this competition are CR Belouizdad with nine trophies. The record for consecutive wins in the competition is only two, several teams have achieved such USM Alger, CR Belouizdad, MC Oran, JS Kabylie and MC Algiers.
