Mohamed Jahid Hasan Emily
Zahid Hasan Ameli (; born 25 December 1987) is a retired Bangladeshi footballer who played as a striker for the Bangladesh national team from 2005 to 2014. He is the current second highest goalscorer Bangladesh in international football and also has the third highest caps. Club career From 2007 to 2009, Ameli played for Dhaka side Abahani Limited where he scored 25 league goals, helping the club win back-to-back B. League titles. He then moved to another Dhaka side, Mohammedan Sport Club for the 2009β10 season where he scored 18 goals as the club finished league runners-up. Before the start of the 2010β11 season, he transferred to Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club. They eventually won the league title. Later he joined Muktijoddha Sangsad KS in the 2011β12 season; his team became Premier League runner-up. 2006 AFC Challenge Cup
The 2006 AFC Challenge Cup was held between 1 and 16 April 2006 in Bangladesh. Sixteen teams were split into four groups, the top two in each group qualifying for the quarterfinals, and from then on a straight knockout contest. There was no qualification stage. The cup winner was Tajikistan. The fair play award was won by Sri Lanka and Tajik Ibrahim Rabimov won the most valuable player award. Selection of teams The AFC classed seventeen nations as ''emerging associations'', which need time to develop their football. They were selected in August 2005 to take part. The 2012 Bangladesh Premier League, also known as Destiny- Boishakhi BPL 2012 (for sponsorship reasons), was the first season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) established by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The competition featured six franchises and used a tournament format with a double round robin group stage followed by two semi-finals and a final. Muktijoddha Sangsad KC () is a Bangladeshi professional football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
