Modjo
Modjo was a French house music duo formed in Paris in 1999 by producer Romain Tranchart (born 9 June 1976) and singer Yann Destagnol (born 14 July 1978). They are best known for their biggest hit, " Lady (Hear Me Tonight)", released in 2000, along with other successful singles such as " Chillin'" and " No More Tears", both released in 2001. Background Born in Paris, Romain Tranchart moved with his family to Algeria and Mexico before settling in Brazil. There, he began learning the guitar, drawing inspiration from jazz classics. In 1998, influenced by DJ Sneak, Ian Pooley, and Daft Punk, Tranchart released his first single under the name Funk Legacy, titled ''What You're Gonna Do, Baby'', through Vertigo Records. Le Freak
"Le Freak" is a funk-disco song by American disco band Chic, released in September 1978 by Atlantic Records as the first single from their second album, '' C'est Chic'' (1978). It was written and produced by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers, and became the band's third single and first US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and R&B number-one hit song. Along with the tracks " I Want Your Love" and "Chic Cheer", "Le Freak" scored number one on the disco charts for seven weeks. The single achieved sales of 7 million and also peaked at number seven in the UK Singles Chart. ''Billboard'' magazine ranked it as the number three song for 1979 and number 21 on the magazine's top 100 songs of the first 55 years of the Hot 100. In 2018, "Le Freak" was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". Ian Pooley (born Ian Pinnekamp in 1973) is a German record producer and DJ. While incorporating samples of various musical genres, Pooley's creations are usually classified as house or tech house with Brazilian influence. Biography Pooley's music career began in 1993. Fascinated by producers in Chicago and Detroit, he brought his first machines and immediately started writing house and techno music, which kickstarted a multi-decade-spanning career playing to hugely diverse audiences. Harry Romero, better known as Harry "Choo Choo" Romero, is an American DJ and record producer. Biography Harry Romero is linked with the label Subliminal with Erick Morillo and Jose Nuñez, with whom he also produced and remixed several tracks, as 'Constipated Monkeys', 'The Dronez' or 'Ministers De La Funk'.
