Modern Folk Üçlüsü
Modern Folk Üçlüsü ("Modern Folklore Trio") is a Turkish music trio. As the name implies, their main source is Turkish folklore songs ( Türkü). Early years The group was founded in July 1969 by Doğan Canku, Ahmet Kurtaran and Selami Karaibrahimgil. In the same year they accompanied Esin Afşar in her song ''Bebek''. In 1970, they began to produce their own records. In 1971 September two members of the group got married and they temporarily put a halt to their activities. Beginning by the end of 1972 however they resumed their activities. Their new LP of 1973 included arranged form of Turkish art music and an example of Western music as well as their conventional genre. Also in 1973 they participated in singing a multi singer melody ''Arkadaş Dur Bekle'' (Turkish version of Auntie) and ''Kim Ayırdı Sevenleri'', Turkish version of Une Belle Histoire, Michel Fugain's famous song together with Tanju Okan and Nilüfer. Anatolian Rock
Anatolian rock (), or Turkish psychedelic rock, is a fusion of Turkish folk music and rock. It emerged during the mid-1960s, soon after rock groups became popular in Turkey. The most widely known members of this genre include Turkish musicians Barış Manço, Cem Karaca, Erkin Koray, Selda Bağcan, Fikret Kızılok alongside bands such as Moğollar. History and development Background (1930s-1960s) Anatolian rock has a long history that dates back to the founding of the Turkish Republic decades ago. Atatürk pushed extensive changes to build a national form of music from the early 1930s forward. He believed that music should be based on national and modern foundations and musicians should work on Turkish melodies and make them polyphonic according to the rules of Western harmonic music. Ayşegül Aldinç
Ayşegül Aldinç (; born 28 September 1957) is a Turkish singer and actress. Life and career She is the daughter of journalist and sports writer Orhan Aldinç and painting teacher Süheyla Aldinç. Growing in Cihangir, Due to the works of her mother, she completed her secondary education at the schools in Taksim, Kocamustafapaşa and Feriköy districts. She finished her high school at the Sultanahmet Art School. She finished her studies at Tatbiki Fine Arts Academy Ceramic Department (now called Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts Ceramics Department). Shortly after her graduation, she worked as an artist at Anafartalar Middle School, and then as a music teacher at Akaretler Middle School in Istanbul. Yavuz Hilmi Çetin (25 September 1970 – 15 August 2001) was a Turkish musician, singer, and songwriter in the blues and psychedelic music genres. He gained renown in his native country for the skill and sensitivity of his guitar performances. Emel Sayın (born 20 November 1945) is a Turkish singer and actress. Life She was born in Şarkışla district of Sivas Province on 20 November 1945, to a father who immigrated from Skopje, and a mother from Mardin. Nükhet Duru (born 19 May 1954) is a Turkish singer. Career She started singing at Florya Deniz Club in Istanbul in 1971. She released her first 45 album ''Aklımda Sen Fikrimde Sen – Karadır Kaşların'' in 1974. It was followed by many singles like ''Beni Benimle Bırak – Cambaz- Harp ve Sulh-Gerisi Vız Gelir'' (1975), with which she won a Golden Plate.
