Mobile Protected Firepower
The Mobile Protected Firepower (MPF) system is a U.S. Army program to procure a light tank that is capable of providing mobile protected direct offensive fire capability. The program is part of the Next Generation Combat Vehicle program. A previous light tank development for the Army, the M8 Armored Gun System, was canceled in 1996. The Army downselected General Dynamics Land Systems' (GDLS) Griffin II and BAE Systems' M8 AGS to go forward with evaluation. Both companies delivered prototypes of their vehicles in 2020. BAE's submission was disqualified in 2022. The Army selected the GDLS model later that year. The Army has a requirement for 504 units. ASCOD
The ASCOD (Austrian Spanish Cooperation Development) armoured fighting vehicle family is the product of a cooperation agreement between Austrian Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG and Spanish General Dynamics Santa Bárbara Sistemas ( both companies are now divisions of a unit of General Dynamics). The ASCOD family includes the LT 105, a light tank equipped with a 105 mm gun, a surface-to-air missile (SAM) launcher, an anti-tank missile launcher, mortar carrier, R&R vehicle, Command & Control vehicle, ambulance, artillery observer, and the AIFV model. The XM1219 Armed Robotic Vehicle was an unmanned ground combat vehicle based on the MULE Platform. XM1202 Mounted Combat System
The Manned Ground Vehicles (MGV) was a family of lighter and more transportable ground vehicles developed by BAE Systems and General Dynamics as part of the U.S. Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) program. The MGV program was intended as a successor to the Stryker of the Interim Armored Vehicle program. The MGV program was set in motion in 1999 by Army Chief of Staff Eric Shinseki. The MGVs were based on a common tracked vehicle chassis. The lead vehicle, and the only to be produced as a prototype, was the Non-Line-of-Sight Cannon. Seven other vehicle variants were to follow. The MGV vehicles were conceived to be exceptionally lightweight (initially capped at 18 tons base weight) in order to meet the Army's intra-theatre airmobility requirements. MGM-166 LOSAT
The MGM-166 LOSAT (Line-of-Sight Anti-Tank) was a United States anti-tank missile system designed by Lockheed Martin (originally Vought) to defeat tanks and other individual targets. Instead of using a high explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warhead like other anti-tank missiles, LOSAT employed a solid steel kinetic energy penetrator to punch through armor.
