Moara Vlăsiei
Moara Vlăsiei is a commune in the northern part of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania. Its name means "Mill of Wallachia forest, and was called ''Căciulați'' until 1968, when its administrative center was moved from the village of Căciulați to Moara Vlăsiei (a village previously named ''Moara Săracă'' ''the Poor Mill''). It is composed of two villages, Căciulați and Moara Vlăsiei. The village is home to Moara Vlăsiei Cricket Ground, the only cricket field in Romania. Ilfov () is the Counties of Romania, county that surrounds Bucharest, the capital of Romania. It used to be largely rural, but, after the fall of communism, many of the county's villages and communes developed into high-income commuter towns, which act like suburbs or satellites of Bucharest. 2019 Continental Cup (cricket)
The 2019 Continental Cup was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament held in Romania between 29 August and 1 September 2019. The hosts were the defending champions, having won the previous edition in 2018. The format was originally to be two groups of three teams played over the first two days, followed by a series of play-off matches. However, after Russia withdrew two days before the tournament, the format was changed to a single round-robin stage followed by a final. Twenty20 International
Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of Twenty20 cricket, in which each team plays a single innings with a maximum of twenty overs. The matches are played between international teams recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). In the T20I format, each bowler is restricted to a maximum of four overs. A mandatory powerplay is taken during the first six overs of an innings. The first T20I match took place on 17 February 2005 between Australia and New Zealand, with the first ICC T20 World Cup held in 2007. The matches were initially competed between the full members of the ICC and selected associate member teams. In April 2018, the ICC announced that it would grant T20I status to matches played amongst any of all its 105 members from 1 January 2019. The Romania national cricket team represents the country of Romania in international cricket. Cricket was played in Romania between 1893 and 1930. In recent years the game has begun to grow again, particularly in Bucharest, Timișoara and Cluj-Napoca.
