Mișu Benvenisti, also known as Mishu or Moshe Benvenisti, sometimes Benveniste (; July 1, 1902 – 1977), was a Romanian-Israeli lawyer, Zionism, Zionist militant, and leader of the History of the Jews in Romania, Romanian Jewish community. Born into a family of printers and publishers, he was one of the few Sephardic Jews in Romania, Sephardi Jews to reach prominence in political life during the Romanian Kingdom era. His association with Zionism began in his teenage years, and saw him emerging as leader of the Zionist Youth Organization (part of the HeHalutz, HH) in the early 1920s. Benvenisti was then primarily affiliated with the ''Renașterea Noastră'' group in Bucharest, joining the small Jewish National Party by 1930; through these, he participated in the formation of a nation-wide Jewish Party (Romania), Jewish Party (PER), wherein he was youth organizer and general secretary. Mișu Dulgheru
MiÈ™u Dulgheru (born Mihai Dulberger; January 16, 1909 – April 11, 2002) was a Romanian communist activist and spy. A clerk by trade, he rose through the secret police as the Romanian Communist Party consolidated its hold on power between 1944 and 1947, while from 1948 through 1952, he played an important role as an officer in the new ''Securitate''. Subsequently, arrested as part of a wider purge, he was released after an investigation lasting over two years, but never regained his earlier prestige. Late in life, he left his native country for Israel and, later, Canada. Mișu Popp
MiÈ™u Popp (March 19, 1827 – March 6, 1892) was a Romanian painter and muralist. Biography Born in Brassó, Kingdom of Hungary (now BraÈ™ov, Romania), he was the eighth child of Ioan Popp Moldovan de GalaÈ›i (1774–1869) and Elena (1783–1867), born Ivan, a family from the Fogaras region. His father was a church muralist, painter, and sculptor. Popp finished his art studies in 1848, at the Academy of Fine Arts from Vienna, where he developed a serious academic style. Claymoor (Mișu Văcărescu)
Mișu or Mihail Ion Văcărescu ( Francized ''Michel Vacaresco''; 1842 or 1843 – June 12, 1903), most commonly known as Claymoor, was a Wallachian, later Romanian fashion journalist and gossip columnist, the son of poet Iancu Văcărescu. A retired cavalry officer in the Romanian Land Forces, he began writing in his late twenties or early thirties, reaching his fame as a contributor to the Francophone daily '' L'Indépendence Roumaine''. He was widely respected for his verdicts on fashion, and, as an arbiter of taste, contributed to his paper's renown; however, people of his day also ridiculed him for his florid literary style, his political involvement with the Conservative Party, and his homosexuality. Nicolae Mișu
Nicolae Mișu (6 August 1858 – 31 August 1924) was a Romanian politician and diplomat who served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania. Life and political career Mișu completed a law degree in Germany and political science studies in Paris. He was the first envoy of the Romanian monarch in Bulgaria. He also served as the Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vienna, Constantinople and London. While in London, he lobbied for protection of interests of Aromanians in Pind Mountains. He was also involved in discussions on rights of Jewish minority of Dobruja when it was split between Romania and Bulgaria. From 15 October until 30 November 1919, Mișu was Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania within the Artur Văitoianu cabinet during which Romania became a signatory to the Treaty of Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
