Mitchell Weiser
Mitchell-Elijah Weiser (; born 21 April 1994) is a professional footballer who plays as a right-back or right wing-back for Bundesliga club Werder Bremen. Club career Early career The son of former German footballer Patrick Weiser, Weiser spent his early childhood in Braunschweig, where he played for the youth teams of amateur club TV Eintracht Veltenhof. 1. FC Köln Weiser started his career in the youth department of 1. FC Köln in the 2005–06 season. He won his first cup with the U-17 team in 2011. He made his debut in the Bundesliga on 25 February 2012 in a game against Bayer Leverkusen as the youngest player for the club. Patrick Weiser (born 25 December 1971) is a German former professional footballer who played both as a midfielder and as a defender. Since retiring from playing he has entered coaching. Club career Weiser began his professional career with 1. FC Köln whom he had joined aged 13. He made his first team debut on 11 April 1992 in a 3–1 win at MSV Duisburg and became a regular player during the following season. After making 110 appearances for 1. FC Köln over six seasons, he departed for France in July 1997, joining Rennes. He was a mainstay of their starting XI during his first Ligue 1 campaign, but the arrival of Paul Le Guen as manager saw his appearances during the 1998–99 season become more limited. The 2013 Audi Cup was the third edition of the Audi Cup, a two-day association football tournament that featured four teams, and was played at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.
