Mitch Canham
Mitchell Dean Canham (born September 25, 1984) is an American baseball coach and former catcher, who is the current head baseball coach of the Oregon State Beavers. He previously served as manager for the Clinton LumberKings, Modesto Nuts, and Arkansas Travelers. Canham played college baseball for the Oregon State Beavers, coached by Pat Casey, and was a member of the 2006 and 2007 teams that won back-to-back national championships at the College World Series. He was drafted by the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB) with the 57th overall pick in the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft. Amateur career Canham played for the Lake Stevens Junior Athletic Association (LSJAA) Tigers from 1995-1996. Lake Elsinore Storm
The Lake Elsinore Storm are a Minor League Baseball team based in Lake Elsinore, California. The Storm compete in the California League as the Single-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. The team plays its home games at Lake Elsinore Diamond, which opened in 1994; the park seats 7,866 occupants. Modesto Nuts
The Modesto Nuts are a Minor League Baseball team of the California League and the Single-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. They are located in Modesto, California, and are named for the several types of nuts grown in the Central Valley. They play their home games at John Thurman Field, which opened in 1955. The Nuts adopted their current name in 2005 after the team's affiliation with the Oakland Athletics ended. Before then, the team was known as the Modesto Athletics (or A's) from 1975 to 2004. The club was also known as the Modesto Reds (1966–1974 and 1946–1961) and Modesto Colts (1962–1964). The Nuts were expected to leave Modesto following the 2024 season after the city and the Mariners were unable to come to terms on who would pay for ballpark improvements mandated by Major League Baseball. Lake Stevens High School
Lake Stevens High School is a high school located in Lake Stevens, Washington, United States. It is the only high school in the Lake Stevens School District and is assigned students from grades 10 to 12. History LSHS first opened in 1909 at a site that is now home to North Lake Middle School. Painted with surplus paint with a pinkish hue sometime between 1958 and 1959, the school was eventually nicknamed the "Pink Palace". After the 1978–1979 school year, the building was demolished, and students began at the current LSHS location in the fall of 1979. LSHS has since moved to its current location on 113th Avenue, and the current school was remodeled in the 1990s and again in the summer of 2007. The original football stadium, which seated 1,200 spectators, was demolished in November 2009 and replaced by a larger, 2,600-seat stadium. Pat Casey (baseball)
Patrick Michael Casey (born March 17, 1959) is an American college baseball coach who was the head coach for the Oregon State Beavers baseball team from 1995 to 2018. He is best known for winning the 2006 College World Series for the Beavers' first-ever baseball National Championship. The following year, he led the Beavers to a repeat championship in the 2007 College World Series, the first unranked team in history to accomplish this feat. He retired from Oregon State after winning his third national championship in the 2018 College World Series.
