Mirosław Korbel
Mirosław Korbel (born 31 January 1963) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. Since retiring he has been a team coach for Kolejarz Opole. Career Korbel won the gold medal in the prestigious Golden Helmet during the 1990 Polish speedway season. During the same season he won the silver medal at the Polish Individual Speedway Championship behind Zenon Kasprzak. He spent the majority of his career riding for Rybnik, where he won three medals at the Polish league championships (two silver and one bronze). In 1987 he toured the United Kingdom with the Polish team. Rydułtowy
Rydułtowy () is a town in southern Poland, in the Wodzisław County of the Silesian Voivodeship. Rydułtowy is in the south-western part of the Silesian Highland, on the Rybnik Plateau, in the Oświęcim-Racibórz Valley. A mining town, Rydułtowy has been closely bound with the 200-year-old "Rydułtowy-Anna" coal mine. 1988 Individual Speedway World Championship
The 1988 Individual Speedway World Championship was the 43rd edition of the official World Championship to determine the world champion rider. The final was held at the Vojens Speedway Center, owned by former World Champion Ole Olsen. Despite the country having won seven World Individual Championships between three riders since 1971 (Olsen, Erik Gundersen and Hans Nielsen), it was the first time Denmark hosted the World Final. Gundersen renewed his fierce rivalry with Nielsen as both finished on 14 points to tie for the lead of the Championship. However it was Gundersen that won the toss to choose his starting gate for the run-off. He chose the outside and on a wet track he won his third title by defeating Nielsen in the run-off. Team Speedway Polish Championship
The Team Speedway Polish Championship ( Polish: ''Drużynowe Mistrzostwa Polski, DMP'') is an annual speedway event held each year in different Polish clubs organized by the Polish Motor Union (PZM) since 1948. In 2000, the First Division was renamed Ekstraliga, and the number of teams was reduced. The team winning the league is awarded a gold medal and declared Polish Team Champions. Teams finishing second and third are awarded silver and bronze medals respectively. Zenon Kasprzak (born 10 May 1962) is a former international speedway rider from Poland. Kolejarz Opole (Railwayman Opole) is a motorcycle speedway team based in Opole, Poland. They currently race in the Polish Speedway Second League (2. Liga).
