Miroslav Káčer
Miroslav Káčer (born 2 February 1996) is a Slovak professional footballer who currently plays for MŠK Žilina in the Niké Liga. Club career MŠK Žilina Káčer began his football career at his hometown club MŠK Žilina. Aged 16, Miroslav made his debut for Žilina against Spartak Myjava on 13 July 2012. On his competition debut, he scored his first professional goal in a 4–1 win. Káčer was released from Žilina, as the club had entered liquidation, due to a coronavirus pandemic. Viktoria Plzeň On 6 May 2020 it had been announced that Káčer had signed for Viktoria Plzeň, along with Filip Kaša, who was also released from Žilina. They had re-joined their former coach from the Slovak club, Adrián Guľa, under whom they had won the Slovak Fortuna Liga in the 2016–17 season. COVID-19 Pandemic In Slovakia
The COVID-19 pandemic in Slovakia has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. The virus was confirmed to have spread to Slovakia on 6 March 2020 when Prime Minister of Slovakia, Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini announced that a 52-year-old man was infected. He had not travelled anywhere but his son had travelled to Venice in Italy, and was later confirmed as the first Slovak to be infected. Three cases were then confirmed, including the man's son and wife. During the next few days, COVID-19 cases went up to 21 out of 832 tested. As of 4 February 2023, 7,219,030 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Slovakia. The 2022–23 Slovak First Football League (known as Fortuna liga for sponsorship reasons) was the 30th season of the top-tier football league in Slovakia since its establishment in 1993. The 2021–22 Czech First League, known as the Fortuna Liga is the 29th season of the Czech Republic's top-tier football for professional clubs since its 1993 establishment. SK Slavia Prague were the reigning champions. The season started on 24 July 2021. The first half of the season had 19 rounds, finishing on 19 December 2021, and the other half commenced on 5 February 2022. The season ended on 14 May 2022 with two extra play-out fixtures on 19 and 22 May 2022. Roman Gergel
Roman Gergel (born 22 February 1988) is a Slovak professional footballer who plays as a forward. Club career Gergel made his Corgoň Liga debut in the 7–1 defeat against MŠK Žilina on 14 July 2007. After his first season he relegated with Trenčín to the Second Division. He scored 10 goals in the 2008–09 season and 3 goals in the 2009–10 season. In September 2010, he signed four-year contract for MŠK Žilina for an undisclosed fee. He played four games for Žilina at the 2010–11 UEFA Champions League group stage.
