Miri Shefer-Mossensohn
Miri Shefer-Mossensohn () is professor of Middle Eastern history at Tel Aviv University, and the current Head of the university's Zvi Yavetz School of Historical Studies. She specializes in Ottoman & Turkish Studies, with a focus on the history of medicine, cultural history and environmental history. Shefer-Mossensohn has attracted international media attention for an online learning course titled "Arab-Islamic History: From Tribes to Empires”, which has garnered "over 20,000 students from 155 countries," including from "Pakistan, Indonesia, Qatar and Afghanistan". The Middle East, or the Near East, was one of the cradles of civilization: after the Neolithic Revolution and the Origins of agriculture in West Asia, adoption of agriculture, many of the world's oldest cultures and civilizations were created there. Qatar
Qatar, officially the State of Qatar, is a country in West Asia. Ynet (stylized in all lowercase) is an Israeli news and general-content website, and the online outlet for the '' Yedioth Ahronoth'' newspaper.
