Miodrag Gavrilović
Miodrag Gavrilović ( sr-Cyrl, Миодраг Гавриловић; born 6 April 1973) is a Serbian politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he has served as one of the party's vice-presidents since 2021. He was a member of the National Assembly from 2022 to 2024. Early life Gavrilović was born on 6 April 1973 in Titovo Užice, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia. 2023 Serbian Protests
In May 2023, a series of mass protests began in Belgrade and other locations in Serbia, following Belgrade school shooting, a school shooting in Belgrade and Mladenovac and Smederevo shootings, a spree shooting near Mladenovac and Smederevo. The fourteenth convocation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia () is the ongoing convocation of the National Assembly of Serbia. It was constituted in the House of the National Assembly on 6 February 2024. In the 2023 parliamentary election, the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS)-led electoral alliance re-gained its parliamentary majority, winning 129 seats in total. The second placed was the Serbia Against Violence coalition, which won 65 seats. The Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) electoral alliance suffered major losses, only winning 18 seats in total. Far-right politics in Serbia emerged shortly before the Breakup of Yugoslavia, break-up of Yugoslavia and have been present ever since. Its manifestation mostly relies on national and religious factors. In the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, far-right politicians and groups existed but did not receive much support. Milan Stojadinović, the Prime Minister of Yugoslavia, prime minister of Yugoslavia from 1935 until 1939, saw fascism as an ideological role model for his premiership, while Milan Nedić, who was appointed prime minister of the Government of National Salvation, puppet government in 1941, was a supporter of fascist ideas. Dimitrije Ljotić headed Yugoslav National Movement, Zbor, a minor party that was inspired by Italian fascism.
