The Minister of Defence (Urdu: 'وزیرِ دفاع') heads the Ministry of Defence. The minister serves in the cabinet of the Prime Minister and is required to be a member of Parliament. In the history of the country, the defence portfolio has usually been headed by the head of the government, be that the President or Prime Minister of the country. Khawaja Asif
Khawaja Muhammad Asif (born 9 August 1949) is a Pakistani politician who has served as the Defence Minister of Pakistan since 2022. Asif previously served as Defence Minister from 2013 to 2017 until the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif and served as Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from since 1993, elected in every election. He also have additional portfolio of Minister of Aviation since 11 March 2024, and was the Minister for Foreign Affairs in the Abbasi cabinet from August 2017 to April 2018 and simultaneously served as the Minister for Defence and Minister for Water and Power under Nawaz Sharif's third term from 2013 to 2017. Mohammad Ali Bogra
Syed Mohammad Ali Chowdhury Bogra (19 October 1909 – 23 January 1963) was an East Pakistani politician, statesman, and a diplomat who served as third prime minister of Pakistan from 1953 to 1955. He was appointed in this capacity in 1953 until he Turnover (employment), stepped down in 1955 in favour of Finance Minister Chaudhry Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Ali. Akbar Bugti
Nawab Akbar Shahbaz Khan Bugti ( Balochi, Urdu: ; 12 July 1926 – 26 August 2006) was a Pakistani politician and the Tumandar (head) of the Bugti tribe of Baloch people who served as the Minister of State for Interior and Governor of Balochistan Province in Pakistan. He also became minister of state for defence in the cabinet of Feroz Khan Noon. Earlier, he had also served as the Minister of State for Interior. He was involved in a struggle, at times armed, for greater autonomy for Balochistan. The government of Pakistan accused him of keeping a private militia and leading a guerrilla war against the state. On 26 August 2006 Bugti was killed when his hide-out cave, located in Kohlu, about 150 miles east of Quetta, collapsed.
