Mini Challenge UK
The Mini Challenge UK is a one-make race series began in 2002 and since 2020 the JCW and JCW Sport championships have run as a support package to the British Touring Car Championship. The series umbrella includes multiple classes: * JCW Class, based on Gen 3 F56 MINI Hatch, target power 255bhp, circa 1170kg with driver * JCW Sport Class (added 2024), chassis as above but with 225bhp * Cooper Class (added 2021), with less aggressive chassis modifications and 130bhp Competition is organised into JCW Championship, JCW Sport Championship, and Cooper Trophy championships. For 2024 the first two will support BTCC for 7 weekends of the calendar and the Cooper Trophy will feature at three of those, with the other four weekends at Truck or BARC events. One-design racing is a racing method which may be adopted in sports using complex equipment, whereby all vehicles have identical or very similar designs or models, avoiding the need for a Handicapping, handicap system. Motorsport One-make racing series (also known as spec racing series) are racing series in which all competitors race with identical or very similar vehicles from the same manufacturer and suppliers. Typically, this means the same type of chassis, powertrain, tyres, brakes, and fuel are used by all drivers. The idea behind one-make car racing is that success will be based more on driver skill and Racing setup, car setup, instead of engineering skill and budget. Nick Foster (racing Driver)
Nicholas John Foster (born 10 October 1965 in Redditch, Worcestershire) is a British racing driver and businessman who has driven in the British Touring Car Championship. Racing career After spending the first part of his career in rallying, Foster switched to circuit racing in 2006, competing in the Radical Championship. In 2007 he began two years in the British GT Championship, driving a GT3 class Dodge Viper for Team RPM. Two years in the GT Cup followed. Anthony Whorton-Eales (born 21 May 1994 in Lichfield) is a British racing driver who will make the move into BriSCA F1 for 2023.
