Mina Fürst Holtmann
Mina Fürst Holtmann (born 17 July 1995) is a Norwegian World Cup alpine ski racer and specializes in the technical events of slalom and giant slalom. She represents the sports club Bærums SK. Career Fürst Holtmann competed without finishing at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics, later competed at the Junior World Championships in 2014, and the following year she won three medals (bronze, silver, and gold). She made her World Cup debut in January 2015 in St. Moritz, where she also collected her first World Cup points with a 29th-place finish on the second race day. Following a lengthy injury, Fürst Holtmann returned to the World Cup circuit in October 2017, and recorded her first top-15 finish with a 13th place in Levi that November. Courchevel
Courchevel () is a French Alps ski resort. It is a part of Les Trois Vallées, the largest linked ski areas in the world. Courchevel also refers to the towns of Courchevel 1300 (Le Praz), Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650 (Moriond), and Courchevel 1850, which are named for their altitudes in metres. On 1 January 2017, Saint-Bon-Tarentaise (1100) merged into the new commune Courchevel. The resort centre of Courchevel is at 1,747 metres (5,732 ft). The name Courchevel 1850 was chosen for marketing reasons to compete with rival ski resort Val d'Isère. It is the Jardin Alpin area of Courchevel 1850 rather than the centre which is located at 1,850 metres (6,070 ft). Location Courchevel used to be part of the commune of Saint-Bon-Tarentaise, but in 2017 that was merged with La Perrière into the new commune of Courchevel. The women's slalom in the 2018 FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup involved 12 events, including three parallel races (one parallel slalom and two city events) and the season finale in Åre, Sweden. Defending champion Mikaela Shiffrin from the United States won nine of the twelve races for the season (seven of the nine slaloms and two of the three parallel races); this was Shiffrin's fifth discipline championship in slalom. The women's overall in the 2018 FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup involved 38 events in 5 disciplines: downhill (DH), Super-G (SG), giant slalom (GS), slalom (SL) hich included parallel slaloms and city events and Alpine combined (AC). Defending champion Mikaela Shiffrin of the United States won 12 events during the season, including 9 in the slalom discipline (seven actual slaloms plus two parallel events), just short of the all-time record of 14, to easily win the overall title. The International Ski Federation (FIS) Alpine Skiing World Cup is the premier circuit for alpine skiing competition. The inaugural FIS World Cup season launched in January 1967 and this 51st season began on 22 October 2016 in Sölden, Austria, and concluded in the United States at Aspen on 19 March 2017.
