Miller County is a County (United States), county located in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Georgia (U.S. state), Georgia. As of the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, the population was 6,000. The county seat is Colquitt, Georgia, Colquitt. The county was created on February 26, 1856, and named after Andrew Jackson Miller (1806–56), president of the Medical College of Georgia. Geography According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of , of which is land and (0.4%) is water. The majority of Miller County, west of a north-to-south line made as a continuation of the eastern Early County, Georgia, Early County border, is located in the Spring Creek (Flint River), Spring Creek sub-basin of the ACF River Basin (Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin). Baker County, Georgia
Baker County is a county in Georgia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 2,876, making it the fifth-least populous county in Georgia. The county seat and only city is Newton. The county was created December 12, 1825, from the eastern portion of Early County by an act of the Georgia General Assembly and is named for Colonel John Baker, a hero of the American Revolutionary War. Baker County is included in the Albany, GA metropolitan statistical area. The Baker County Courthouse (Georgia) is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Three other properties in Newton are also listed on the register: Notchaway Baptist Church and Cemetery, Pine Bloom Plantation, and Tarver Plantation. State Route 310 (SR 310) is a south–north state highway located in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Georgia. It connects Reynoldsville with Colquitt. Route description SR 310 begins at an intersection with SR 253 east of Reynoldsville. The route heads due north to the town of Brinson. There, it intersects US 84/ SR 38. After Brinson, the route curves northeast, and then northwest, to meet its northern terminus, an intersection with US 27/ SR 1 in Colquitt. The roadway continues as SR 45 Connector (South 1st Street). State Route 273 (SR 273) is a west-east state highway located in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Georgia. It travels within Early and Miller counties. Route description SR 273 begins at an intersection with SR 273 Spur and SR 370 southwest of Cedar Springs. The highway heads northeast to Cedar Springs and then heads east to an intersection with SR 39 just before entering Miller County. State Route 91 (SR 91) is an south-to-north state highway in the southwest part of the U.S. state of Georgia. The highway travels from its southern terminus at the Florida state line, southwest of Donalsonville, where the roadway continues as Florida State Road 2 (SR 2), northeast through Albany to its northern terminus, an intersection with SR 32 at a point northeast of the city. It also travels through Donalsonville, Colquitt, and Newton. Route description SR 91 begins at the Florida state line, where the roadway continues as State Road 2. State Route 45 (SR 45) is a state highway that runs south-to-north through portions of Seminole, Miller, Early, Calhoun, Terrell, Webster, and Sumter counties in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Georgia.
