Milica Šterić
Milica Šterić ( sr-Cyrl, Милица Штерић; 1914–1998) was a Serbian architect who worked at Energoprojekt for many years, founding and heading its architecture department. She is also responsible for many of the power plants built in Yugoslavia, which helped rebuild the country's economy after the Second World War. Known for her modernist approach, she is one of the first women in Serbia to undertake large scale architectural projects. Career Šterić was born in Smederevo, Serbia and studied architecture in Belgrade, graduating in 1937. Once World War 2 was over, she was hired by Elektroistok in 1947. She then worked at Energoprojekt from 1951 until 1985, where she became their chief architect. She initially focused on constructing industrial and infrastructural buildings for both companies, designing several power plants throughout Yugoslavia. Smederevo
Smederevo ( sr-Cyrl, Смедерево, ) is a list of cities in Serbia, city and the administrative center of the Podunavlje District in eastern Serbia. It is situated on the right bank of the Danube, about downstream of the Serbian capital, Belgrade. According to the 2022 census, the city has a population of 59,261, with 97,930 people living in its administrative area. Its history starts in the 1st century BC, after the conquest of the Roman Empire, when there existed a settlement by the name of Vinceia. Zoran Bojović (architect)
Zoran Bojovic ( sr-cyr, Зоран Бојовић; 1936–2018) was a Yugoslav and Serbian architect and engineer who undertook many large scale projects abroad. He is known for his constructions in Nigeria and the Middle East. Career Bojovic was born in Belgrade and graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Belgrade. In 1961, he was hired by Energoprojekt, a Serbian construction and infrastructure company, where he held a prominent role until his retirement in 1998. As lead architect for the company, he worked in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. Known for a modernist approach, his portfolio includes industrial facilities and sports complexes, as well as power plants, large housing complexes and urban public spaces.
