Milan Smiljanić
Milan Smiljanić ( sr-Cyrl, Милан Смиљанић, ; born 19 November 1986) is a Serbian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Early life Smiljanić was born in Kalmar, Sweden, as his father Branko, who was also a professional footballer, was playing for Kalmar AIK FK at the time. Club career Partizan Smiljanić subsequently returned to Serbia and joined FK Partizan youth ranks. Under head coach Vladimir Vermezović, he made his debut for the first team in a league match against FK Sutjeska Nikšić, during the second part of 2004–05. Smiljanić also spent some time playing for farm team FK Teleoptik and, in little more than two professional seasons, he amassed more than 50 official appearances with the club, and eventually gained club captaincy despite his age. Branko Smiljanić (born 27 September 1957) is a Serbian association football, football manager and former player. Playing career In 1978, Smiljanić signed a one-year contract with NK Svoboda Ljubljana, Mercator Ljubljana. He moved to OFK Beograd in 1979. In 1981, he signed a long-term contract with FK Sloboda Užice. He first moved out of Serbia in 1983 to Sweden where he signed a contract with Kalmar AIK FK. After a two-year spell with the Kalmar-based club, he signed a contract with FC Mönsterås. In 1988, he moved back to Serbia and signed with FK Obilić and played there for the next 5 years. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). FK Teleoptik () is a football club based in Zemun, Belgrade, Serbia. They compete in the Serbian League Belgrade, the third tier of the national league system.
