Mikhail Iakovlev
Mikhail Sergeyevich Yakovlev (; ; born 1 September 2000), also known as Mikhail Iakovlev, is an Olympic Israeli unofficial world-record-holding bicycle racing, racing cyclist. Born in Russia, he and his family moved to Israel, and he represents Israel internationally. He won the bronze medal in the 2021 UCI Track Cycling World Championships – Men's keirin, keirin event at the 2021 UCI Track Cycling World Championships (representing Russia), and bronze medals in Sprint in the 2021 UEC European Track Championships, 2021 European Championship (representing Russia), and in the 2024 UEC European Track Championships, 2024 European Championship (representing Israel). In 2022 Yakovlev set a new unofficial world record in the Track time trial, 200m flying trial in 9.099 seconds. Cycling At The 2024 Summer Olympics – Men's Keirin
The men's Keirin event at the 2024 Summer Olympics took place on 10 and 11 August 2024 at the Vélodrome National de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. Background This was the 7th appearance of the event, which has been held at every Summer Olympics since its introduction in 2000.
